Starbucks Is Delivering To Tenants In The Empire State Building

Starbucks is now delivering to tenants at the Empire State Building in New York City using the service called Green Apron Delivery.

The delivery service officially began on October 13, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Green Apron Delivery allows tenants in the building to place orders on the Starbucks website.

"New York City has always inspired us to consider new ways to innovate for our growing store portfolio," Cliff Burrows, Starbucks group president for the United States and the Americas, told Nation's Restaurant News, "and I cannot think of a better location to launch one of the most frequently requested services."

So far, the Empire State Building is the only office in New York City that uses Green Apron Delivery. Starbucks first announced that they are testing this delivery in New York City and Seattle back in March.

The Green Apron Delivery kitchen is located in the lobby of the Empire State Building on 33rd Street. There are about 12,000 people that work in the iconic New York City landmark.

Most recently, Starbucks introduced mobile ordering last month to pay ahead and avoid lines.
