For Every 'Boxed Water' Photo You Post On Social Media, The Company Will Plant Two Trees

Here's a social media campaign we can actually get behind: from April through June, Boxed Water has committed to planting two trees for every photo of Boxed Water that gets posted to Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook with the hashtag #ReTree.

The goal is to reach 50,000 posts by the end of June, totaling 100,000 trees to be planted in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest.

Furthermore, Boxed Water has committed to planting one million trees by 2020 as part of the largest-ever tree planting partnership, undertaken with the National Forest Foundation.

"Boxed Water's partnership with the National Forest Foundation allows us to make a significant investment in the renewable resources we use in our own products while helping to restore critical ecosystems and wildlife habitats," Jeremy Adams, vice president of marketing for Boxed Water, announced in a statement. "The Retree Project puts consumers and fans in the driver's seat and allows them to make a real environmental impact by taking a small everyday action — just as consumers are doing by switching from plastic bottles to Boxed Water."
