Marijuana-Infused Vodka Exists But Sadly It Won't Get You High

We already have birthday cake vodka and bacon vodka, so why not weed vodka? The Humboldt Vodka brand, a distillery in California, has released a marijuana-infused flavor called Humboldt's Finest.

Before you ask, no — the product does not contain any THC so it won't get you high like regular cannabis would, but it is legal in all 50 states.

"We've been selling our original organic vodka for more than two years now," says Humboldt owner and head distiller, Abe Stevens, in a press statement. "As the vodka has grown in popularity I've found more and more consumers asking us to add some of the 'local flavor' to our alcohol. That obviously wouldn't be legal for us to do, but I couldn't ignore the consumer demand. My solution was to come up with a compromise that captures a bit of that character without breaking any laws."

That solution was to distill batches of vodka with legally-grown food-grade hemp, and even though it won't have the same effects as you would hope for, the vodka still "retains an herbal and aromatic quality reminiscent of fresh cannabis."

Humboldt's Finest is available in 750-ml bottles at a suggested retail price of $29.99.
