Nothing says autumn like a pumpkin Blizzard treat.

As the summer dwindles down, expect plenty of pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie, and apple cider everything to pop up on grocery stores and at drive-thrus.

One of the first tastes of fall can be found at Dairy Queen. DQ has announced the return of their pumpkin pie Blizzard treat on August 31, which will be featured as Blizzard of the month for September and October.

The Blizzard features Dairy Queen’s signature vanilla soft serve ice cream blended with pumpkin pie pieces and topped with whipped cream and nutmeg.

“Pumpkin is the flavor of the fall season, and we were one of the first who began serving up our Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat in 1991 long before it became a mainstream cultural phenomenon,” said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of marketing for Dairy Queen. “Our Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat is probably the most unique, one-of-a-kind seasonal offering that fans will find. It’s one of the Blizzard Treats that has become part of our brand DNA.”
