Domino's Creates Voice App For Ordering Pizza

What's the latest and greatest in food-ordering technology? You can now place an order using your voice instead of typing away and clicking through endless options online. This innovation comes directly from Domino's, which has invented a voice interface system, much like Siri, that can be used to call in pizza orders. "Dom" was created by Nuance Communications and so far only speaks English.

The Domino's mobile app already accounts for 18 percent of sales, so this is just the latest step in appealing to millennial customers who, according to Domino's, are always looking to integrate the most cutting-edge technology into their lives.

"There will be a day when typing on keyboards or with thumbs on mobile devices will come to a close," Patrick Doyle, CEO of Domino's, told USA Today. "We want to be the ones who continue to advance the technology experience."

Of course you can still pick up the phone and call, but if you're hankering for some pizza and find speaking with people tiresome, download the Domino's app and place your order with "Dom" instead.
