The recent discovery that comedian, hospitality enthusiast, and Strangers with Candy actress Amy Sedaris was on Instagram is perhaps one of the best things to happen to the upcoming holiday season.
Why? Because Sedaris, author of the hilarious party planning and lifestyle tomes I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence and Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People, is the queen of the theatrically decorated home.
Her West Village apartment is full of kitsch: plastic props, wooden flying bats (she has 60 at last count), and a taxidermy duck or two.
Her Instagram account is more of the same, and it's the perfect home decorating inspiration board for anyone whose tastes, like Amy's, run campy and irreverent. But now, to the heart of the matter— have you ever seen a better Halloween cake than this?
