Cracker Jacks Join Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade This Year

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is full of American classics like Snoopy, Spiderman, and of course, Santa. And now, for the first time ever, the American icon Cracker Jacks will be joining the parade with its own float. The Cracker Jacks float will feature a three-story baseball stadium complete with working Jumbotrons featuring families from around the country playing baseball, as well as live shots of the parade itself.

The elaborate addition to the traditional 88th annual parade will also feature live musical performances, fireworks, and a "selfie station" where families can take pictures of themselves on the float.

"With our first-ever Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade float, we really wanted to bring all of our Cracker Jack themes to life — the tradition of baseball, the spirit of surprise, and the essence of Americana — but with a fresh, unexpected twist that was relevant for audiences today," said Ram Krishnan, senior vice president, marketing, Frito-Lay North America. "We can't wait to see reactions on Thanksgiving Day, and hope our float continues to remind fans everywhere that even the smallest surprises can make a big impact."
