Bring Your Gun To This Restaurant, Get A 10 Percent Discount

Earlier this year, we started tracking the trend of restaurants openly encouraging their customers to carry guns while dining, and now the latest shop to join the movement is Bergeron's Boudin & Cajun Meats of Port Allen, Louisiana.

Owner Kevin Cox is not only permitting armed dining, but offering guests a 10 percent discount if they're willing to participate. "I just need to see a weapon. I need you to be carrying a gun," Cox told KETK NBC.

The idea was originally meant to show appreciation for local law enforcement officers who visited the restaurant, but expanded when licensed civilians wanted in.

"As long as everybody has a gun, we're all the same size," Cox said. "I keep hearing so much about people banning guns. Target's banning guns and these people are banning guns. Don't they realize that that's where people with guns are going to go? I want to take the opposite approach. How can I make my place safer?"
