Andre Agassi To Open Chain Of Healthy Fast Food Delis

Tennis legend Andre Agassi has reportedly partnered with "Budapest-based health food specialist" Update 1 for an upcoming chain of Hungarian health food delis that will open 50 locations across the UK by 2019, reports The Evening Standard. The first location will open on Walthamstow High Street next week.

The former ATP World No. 1 and eight-time Grand Slam singles champion will help the company open "low carb bistro delis" throughout the UK, followed by Germany, Italy, and Turkey.

The delis will feature a range of health foods including healthy takeout options, along with a bakery, gluten-free products, and organic coffee.

Update 1 currently has 100 locations throughout Europe, and the firm was recently valued at £15.8 million (approximately $25.3 million).

Agassi reportedly said that the partnership would help him contribute to the fight against obesity, and added, "I have long believed that exercise, plus the right nutrition and diet, are essential to long-term mental and physical health.
