New York City Wine & Food Festival's 3 Biggest Events

Miami-based Culinary Related Entertainment and Marketing (CREaM) will produce three events in three days at the upcoming 2013 New York City Wine & Food Festival. The three events to be held atop Pier 92 on Manhattan's Westside waterfront are the Blue Moon Burger Bash, and two brand-new events; Jets + Chefs: The Ultimate Tailgate and La Sagra Sunday Slices. To arrange three big events on the roof of a parking lot over three consecutive days is a test in itself, but CREaM is tackling several additional challenges — no running water, electricity, or restrooms.

"For us, the more challenging the venue, the happier we are. We're producing three of the largest festival events, featuring almost 100 chefs feeding 9,000 guests, on a third-level rooftop parking deck in the middle of the Hudson River. Crews will be working 24 hours to turn the venue for these back-to-back events. Clearly, we are very happy this year," CREaM founder Randy Fisher stated in a press release.

The festival kicks off with the Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats and hosted by Rachael Ray. Here, 25 of New York's best burgers will compete for the coveted People's Choice Award. The two new events to be held at the NYCWFF, Jets + Chefs: The Ultimate Tailgate and La Sagra Sunday Slices, will feature 28 New York chefs and their best tailgate dishes, and 15 renowned New York-based pizza-makers and their interpretation of authentic Neapolitan style pizzas, respectively.
