Must-Try Meals In St. Croix

In honor of our giveaway contest (winners will be announced here on March 14), we decided to do a quick roundup of amazing meals and places to try on this gorgeous island — plus, recommendations from our current contestants.

Mahogany by the Sea

Located at the south end of Frederiksted's waterfront stroll, Mahogany by the Sea offers friendly, sophisticated dining with a breathtaking panoramic ocean view. Be sure to try their signature drink "The Lady Mahogany" and the Brazilian Mash (side dish). (Photo courtesy of Mahogany by the Sea)

El Sol

El Sol offers cuisine with a Latin flair and serves up of the best steaks on the island. Located in a casual setting on the side of the road, try any of their steaks with a side of plantains and rice and beans for a finger-licking-good meal.

Eat @ Cane Bay

Make sure to go for the Sunday reggae brunch and order up the foie-gasmic burger — complete with foie gras and gorgonzola compound butter, crispy fried shallots and local butter lettuce. Enough said.

Salud Bistro

This is a neighborhood Mediterranean bistro with a fabulous wine list and creative cocktails. If you're interested in finding out more about the innovative libations, check out the mixologist's blog.
