Foursquare Tips

  • Favorite bar right now. The decor, music, atmosphere, munchies -- all rad. Tell the bartender what your preferred liquor is, and the mood you're in. S/he will make you a delicious cocktail. Trust.
  • Try the fried chickpeas, tossed with a savory mix of salt, cayenne pepper and pungent garam masala. Its one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.
  • Drink whatever is in the slushie machine. It is guaranteed awesomeness.
  • Here the menu changes frequently, bespoke requests are encouraged, and the operation, run by T.J. Lynch and Richard Knapp, is kept down to earth with frozen drinks and cocktails by the pitcher.
  • The grilled cheese is D O P E. Sweet. Chill. Baller. Awesomesauce. Get it, gurl.
  • Low-key cocktail bar adds a welcome neighborhood feel. The menu changes frequently, bespoke requests are encouraged. The drink menu is kept down to earth with frozen drinks and cocktails by the pitcher
  • Fried chicken & kale salad: Fuck yes.
  • One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. Gruyere, carmelized onions, smothered with more cheese ON TOP and served with au jus. NOM NOM NOM.
  • Forget about the drink you want. Tell them what you like and let them work.
  • I must learn how to make these fried chickpeas
  • Come for The Clash, stay for the Tecates with salt, lime and Cholula.
  • After you've downed one too many boozy slushies, it's nice to know this cozy but stylish bar has some everyday edibles. Get the spicy fried chickpeas ($5), or the cayenne and salt, duck wings ($12).
  • Spicy Tecate - Cholula, line juice and salt
  • Quite possibly had the best old fashioned in NY here. Out of the.countless spots, these guys get it right. Expertly crafted and personable service. Love this joint.
  • Go straight for the slushy machine. Trust me.
  • If you're looking for a great, low-key cocktail bar, this is your spot. Come during the summer & order whatever is in the slushie machine. The food is not to be missed either - get the grilled cheese!
  • If you're not getting a slushy and the French onion soup grilled cheese you're doing it wrong.
  • Hot sauce + tecate = fun night
  • Best music in the neighborhood. And while the drinks may be good, dont neglect the food
  • I know, I know, I know, this is a cocktail bar. But the tap list isn't too shabby either. If beer (or wine!) is your thing, try something on draft.
