Miley Cyrus Supports Weed Over Alcohol

Stoners across the country have a new spokesperson.

In an interview with Rolling Stone for their July 4 issue, Miley Cyrus is quoted as saying, "I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana—people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care." The former bubbly pop star now turned rebellious rocker says, "I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."

The actress-singer has undergone scrutiny in the past for reportedly partaking in drug use, a video of her using a bong surfacing in 2010 although she claims she was smoking salvia. However, Cyrus seems to be embracing a stoner status as of late, joking that she smoked too much after her friends gave her a Bob Marley 19th birthday cake and singing a song with Snoop Dogg called "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks."

Miley cites weed's legality in California as a justification for its use over alcohol, as since she is only 20 years old, she is still legally unable to drink.
