Foursquare Tips

  • You no longer have to trek out to Brooklyn to get Mile End's famed, Montreal-style smoked beef thanks to their sandwich shop outpost, which also dishes traditional poutine.
  • Want to kill your productivity post lunch with a meat-induced coma? Go for their famous Smoked Meat sandwich with cured brisket, mustard, and rye. It's a worthwhile and cheaper rival to Katz's.
  • This new-world delicatessen, a Noho spin-off of the Brooklyn flagship, won the title of Best Sandwich Shop in 2013.
  • the pro splitty-splitty move for 2: get 1 smoked meat deluxe with poutine and 1 smoked meat sammy. you each get a sammich and you split the poutine/slaw/pickle. and you both win.
  • Do yourself a favor and choose the smoked meat sandwich. It's great with fries (which are excellent).
  • Enjoy these nice, potato-y fries, meaty gravy, and chewy, flavorful curds. Also, you should 100% add the smoked meat.
  • Don't use this door

  • Are you looking for the best breakfast sandwich, served till 4pm daily? Of course you are. Get the "breakfast burger" with sausage, a poached egg, apple butter, and maple syrup on an english muffin.
  • The smoked meat burger with pickles and fried egg (not to be confused with the smoked meat sandwich) is a revelation.
  • Poutine may sound odd, but it's actually kind of perfect. Crispy fries soak up the drippings from the smoked beef, melted cheese curds are dotted throughout, and a deliciously thick gravy tops it off.
  • Everyone raves about the various meat-based sandwiches, but for the veg (and daring carnivore) among us, the fried green tomato sandwich is outstanding.
  • The delicious smoked lamb sausage sandwich, dressedwith harissa slaw and eggplant puree, is number 9 on Robert Sietsemastop 10 lamb dishes in NYC. Sietsema called the sandwichunforgettable!
  • You know you want to get breakfast for lunch - the eggs and smoked salmon is beyond delicious and get a Black Seed bagel with cream cheese on the side
  • Not as life-changing at Katz's but still a damn good pastrami sandwich. Splurge on the extra $1.50 for a pickle.
  • The Manhattan location of the nouveau Brooklyn deli famous for its Montreal-style smoked meat.
  • The poutine is worth the calories!
  • Say yes to a breakfast burger made with a fat veal-sausage patty stacked with an egg, apple butter and maple syrup on a cottony English muffin:
  • Here w/ a friend? Avoid #fomo and split a Special + Poutine w/ smoked meat.
