Michael Jordan's Steak Houses Create Michael Jordan Menu For Michael Jordan's Birthday

It's mad crazy that Michael Jordan is turning 50 this month (Feb. 17, to be exact), but that's just us freaking out about getting older. His restaurants, on the other hand, will be hosting insane Michael Jordan-themed menus on Feb. 17 for 20 guests at each location.

According to a press release, the New York, Chicago, and Connecticut Michael Jordan Steak Houses will all host a five-course wine dinner that will "take guests on a journey of the basketball legend's life and career through the past five decades" for $125 a plate. And if you can't afford that, just eat at his restuarants on his birthday and you'll get a slice of chocolate birthday cake.

The courses include a shrimp cocktail (to represent his childhood in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the move to Wilmington, N.C.), pan-roasted sea scallop with grits (his college years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), "Maxwell Street"-style Duroc pork tenderloin with fries (for the Chicago Bulls years), and dry-aged Wagyu rib-eye steak for his basketball career in general.

For dessert? Goat cheese custard with spiced cherries and sea salt caramel, inspired by his post-baller life playing golf, supporting charities, and opening restaurants. All very abstract representations, we're sure.

Other fans can bid on 15 bottles of wine, selected and autographed by Jordan, plus three autographed "Official NBA" basketballs. Jordan probably won't be celebrating his birthday with the diners himself, but at least proceeds from the wine auction will benefit Jordan-approved charities.
