Foursquare Tips

  • The central kitchen in a former auto repair shop pumps out piles of tortillas, mole, and salty tortilla chips served with fresh guacamole. This summer, they will open a rooftop seating area.
  • Authentic Mexican food. They have a huge selection of tequila and mezcal. I recommend the chicken mole.
  • Try the Morenazo. Mezcal, cold brew, egg white, plus a little chocolate and spice. Hot dang!
  • Great tacos, micheladas, rooftop dining.
  • Order the michelada for the tamarind straw!
  • Patio is amazing only drawback is you can't order food up there
  • Good drinks, cute bartender, and great atmosphere. Food is fine but would go to Fogon or Barrio up the street for better mexican.
  • Ask for your mezcal to be served in a gourd
  • It's not just tequilla.... it's mezcal. Served in a gourd at the bar, or on request. The food is great
  • That goat tho
  • This place now also does a delicious Sunday brunch, 10am-2pm.
  • Victoria on tap...
  • Try the Aljembre de Sombra
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable servers, super friendly in a great space. Mole, tamales, tacos, etc. with of course, a margarita. Can't go wrong!
  • Great tequila.
  • The goat! Oh, this goat. Get the goat.
  • Grab a seat on the rooftop. Only Mexican beers on tap. Can get pretty loud.
  • Tried this time the birria. It's super spicy, extra hot even when I'm mexican and I ate spicy food regularly. Couldn't finish the plate. Drinks are regular tending to mediocre. Average service.
  • Ask for the crickets with Guacamole. Not in the menu, only for 'conoceurs' ;-)
  • I have dreams about the gringas tacos!
