Chef Matthew Kirkley, nominated this year as a James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef, will be creating a multicourse menu to complement the wines of Alex Gambal.

If you’re a wine lover looking for a special night, here is an opportunity you will not want to miss. On Nov. 5, L2O will be hosting "An Evening with Winemaker Alex Gambal." Gambal, an American winemaker who has established himself in France’s Burgundy region, has earned critical acclaim with his terroir-driven wines. Chef Matthew Kirkley will highlight a line-up of Gambal’s vintages with carefully crafted dishes to match each wine. Nominated as a James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef this year, chef Kirkley’s dishes will no doubt provide a perfect accompaniment.

Aaron McManus, sommelier at L2O, is excited to be presenting Gambal’s wines, citing their balance and depth of character. According to McManus, it is rare to get his wines as the limited sales are often taken up by local buyers in France. This dinner is a great opportunity to sample these hard-to-get wines.
