Foursquare Tips

  • The "Shades of Gray" cocktail is dressed up Earl Gray tea with Russell's Reserve Bourbon, Aperol, and spiced cherry syrup. And it's SO GOOD.
  • Open a few weeks now its already on many a gourmets top-ten list. Italian food with a strong folksy, salt-of-the-earth, straight-from-the-farm vibe dominates.
  • Old Fashioned sampler is a great way to start [or end] your meal :)
  • Serving dinner until midnight. Best high-end Italian in the Mission. From the owners of Delfina!
  • Me "it wasn't shitty" my dad: "it was fucking great, but you could role flea turds in butter and salt and I would snort them"
  • The $20 Old Fashioned Flight will get you three small glasses of a wide variety: rye and demerara; bourbon and maple; and scotch and honey.
  • The prosecco is always chilled to perfection and the soundtrack (ms badu, lauryn hill) is on POINT. Just come late and miss the after-work crowds
  • Ask for a Negroni Flight (Bols Genever, Beefeater, Aviation gins).
  • Wasn't expecting the prices to be this high. Extremely overpriced for miniscule portions. The pasta didn't blow my taste buds out of the water either.
  • Perhaps the old fashioned flight tonight, sir?
  • Ricotta, guanciale, and pomegranate make appearances on the menu of this bustling osteria from Mission stalwarts Delfina and Delfina Pizza.
  • Gluten free? Chef Anthony Strong is making tonnarelli (a spaghetti-like noodle) using Cup4Cup (a gluten-free flour blend) and bolstering it with egg yolks:
  • Finalement, un resto ouvert aprs 21:00!! Il manque seulement un peu de musique pour danser sur les tables!!
  • The wagyu carne crudo is amazing. You cannot go wrong with the carbonara.
  • If you can't get a table, sneak up to the bar and linger with one of Locanda's excellent cocktails. Maybe grab some fried olives or the artichoke. Then stay put and order dinner.
  • Bavette steak was awesome
  • Get the whole roasted seasonal fish
  • Get the Jewish style artichokes...even non-artichoke lovers love them.
  • Never thought we'd say this but the fried lamb brains are pretty tasty.
  • Every single pasta is great. Go alone and sit at the bar for a great night!
