  • Voted Best Lake by City Pages in 2010. The beaches are clean, the characters are plentiful, and even if you dont feel like going for a dunk, there are sailing opportunities and people-watching galore
  • Stay on the correct side of either the walking/jogging path or the biking path or I will materialize next to you and punch you in the throat.
  • So tranquil! Get cremated so your ashes can be spread here.
  • This lake as tons to do. Walking, running, enjoying the scenic views plus a lot more. Just be prepared. It is a busy lake especially in the summer
  • Pedestrian trail distance: 3.10 miles, Bike trail distance 3.19 miles
  • If it's the first nice weekend of spring wear your sunglasses. You'll be blinded by the WHITE. #SpringinMinnesota
  • Sunset canoe to Cedar Lake, and find Hidden Beach for a night swim.
  • Really nice lake to bike around then catch a happy hour close by!
  • Rent a canoe for an hour or two!
  • It can be really crowded pretty much any time of the day... but if you go around 1 or 2 in the afternoon it is a bit less hectic and you can enjoy more of Minneapolis' beautiful lakes :)
  • Walk, jog, run, people watch!! Relaxation is the key!
  • Please don't put your cigarettes out in the sand.
  • Okay, there is a bike path and a walk path... Please do not WALK on the BIKE path. Seriously... Not hard.
  • Great place to be outside whether you are walking, running, or jogging! Enjoy!
  • Check out our New Years Eve event Mystique 2012: Le Cirque. Fantasy fusion of Dance, Aerial Hoops, Silks & a Cirque infused runway show! Two rooms of music. Tickets & Info at www.NYEMPLS.com
  • Glare at dog owners who don't pick up their dog's little gift of joy.
  • I'm cheating on four square too
  • Let's go swimming!
  • At night, walk from one side of the lake to the other while it's frozen. Have a picnic at the center of the lake, looking at the lights of the city.
  • If you go when it's crowded, beware the horrible voice inflections you'll suffer through.
