Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Gloomy. Dark. Perfect. It's like stepping back in time when the Nachez Trace ended here and rafts filled the streets.

Worth checking out if yer on Bourbon St. They say it's oldest bar in the US (1772, pre-independence!) tho I think there's 3-4 other bars claiming the same. Would be classier w/out the ATM & jukebox.

The oldest continually occupied bar in the U.S., this place was once, according to legend, owned by the pirate Jean Lafitte. The tiny open air bar on Bourbon Street pours them cheap and fast.

Built between 1722 and 1732, this venue is reputed to be the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States. Considered haunted, but you can guarantee leaving this place having a great time!

Definitely stop by for a drink before or after your night on Bourbon. Very chill, laid back spot. Fireplace in the middle of the building, multiple open doors on the side, courtyard..worth a stop!!
