Celebrate Labor Day At Fiesta Hermosa
Date: Monday, September 1
Cap off your Labor Day Weekend by heading to Downtown Hermosa Beach for the last day of the 42nd annual Fiesta Hermosa. Classic rock fans should make it a point to check out the main stage of the charity beer and wine garden for some of California's premier tribute bands performing Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix and Phil Collins to name a few. If visual art is more your style, the festival also features over 300 artists including painters, photographers, jewelers and sculptors. After exploring the grounds you'll definitely want to check out the food court which serves up 18 different kinds of ethnic food from barbecued sausage to the Hermosa Beach lifeguard's famous fish tacos. The fiesta starts at 10:00 a.m. and shuts down at 6:00 p.m.

Date: Wednesday, September 3
Dinosaurs have captivated our imagination since their fossils were first discovered in the early 1800s. Now for the first time in human history we can walk alongside these larger than life lizards, kind of. Walking With Dinosaurs is a theatrical event coming to the Honda Center starring 15 life size dinosaurs created by a team of scientists and prop designers. Brachiosaurus, Utahraptor, Stegosaurus and king Tyrannosaurus Rex himself all appear with incredible realism. The hour and a half long show covers the dinosaurs' daily struggle for survival through the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic periods. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets range from $23 to $95.

Spend An Evening At The Contemporary Museum Of Art
Date: Thursday, September 4
Every Thursday is free admission at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) on S. Grand Ave. The museum features pieces from some of the most important artistic movements in history including abstract expressionism, pop art, concenptual art and postmodernism. The permanent collection also houses art from highly recognized artists like Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Cindy Sherman. Free hour-long public tours are also offered every Thursday starting at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. The museum's doors are open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Grab A Slice At Mulberry Street Pizzeria
Date: Friday, September 5
Mulberry Street Pizzeria on S. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills is the perfect spot to celebrate this cheesiest of holidays, National Cheese Pizza Day! Owned by actress, Cathy Moriarty, this New York-style pizza shop has been a local landmark since 1991. Pies here can be a little bit pricey but the quality of the food makes up for those couple extra dollars per slice. The signature Mulberry Street New York Pizza will run you about $18 and a Sicilian pie costs $27.95. There are nine different kinds of individual slices to choose from if you're looking for a quick bite starting with traditional cheese for $3.25 each. Open from 11:00 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Crash Into The Dave Matthews Band
Date: Saturday, September 6
The Dave Matthews Band is coming to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre this Saturday on their annual summer tour of the U.S. This American rock band has been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards and is responsible for chart-topping hits like "Crash Into Me," "The Space Between" and "Ants Marching." The Dave Matthews Band also has the distinction of having sold over 31 million albums in the United States, putting them in rarefied air as one of the top 100 highest-selling musical acts of all time. A staple of the band's annual summer tours is the long improvised renditions of their greatest hits, making every show a one-of-a-kind performance. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets start at $53.
