Foursquare Tips

  • The owner has an affinity for calling you sweetie, which is a nice touch to the authentic French cooking and cozy ambience. Duck confit is a must-have.
  • Country comfofort French, cozy date
  • An under-the-radar, rustic-with-worn-floorboards joint serving classic romance dishes. It's also tucked way out on 10th Avenue, which means you're taking a cab together - wherever you're going.
  • Beef Bourguignon special. If it's on the board order it. Amazing
  • N-Sider fav: This local hot-spot has a great endive and roquefort salad. Follow that with the skate wing with lemon, butter and capers to have a true taste of France in your backyard.
  • Try the chilled artichoke app, and lamb sausage. Amazing. This place is a great neighborhood find, and there is never a wait. Great atmosphere!
  • Erstklassige Zwiebelsuppe wie in Frankreich.
  • Must go before the final episode of Parenthood!
  • Where is Carmen!!??
  • Don't order a beer, they likely won't have any.
  • Nothing special, but definitely satisfying. Duck confit salad is the way to go.
  • Cozy ambience, good food, kind of old school but in a comforting, non-stuffy way.
  • A classic! It looks exactly the same today as it did when it opened, and that's a good thing.
  • The bisque is a must try, it's rich and flavorful. And the casoulet has all the separate ingredients so you can taste them and tell how they all make sense together. Beautifully prepared!
  • Very unassuming. But food is amazing. Sauted foie GRAS is to die for. Les halles is a close second. But this is a must. And steak au poivre is a classic.
  • Best things: Duck Confit salad (<$15) and Beet salad (<$10).
  • Good chicken salad.
