Los Angeles Celebrity Chefs Team Up For Tasting Dinner Series

Six top Los Angeles chefs are banding together for a dinner series called 5X5, the purpose of which is to strengthen the bonds of the city's chef community by working together to create meals that celebrate the best ingredients Southern California has to offer. The chefs participating in this year's series include Josiah Citrin (Mélisse); Michael Cimarusti (Providence); Gino Angelini (Angelini Osteria); Rory Herrmann (Bouchon); and Michael Voltaggio (ink).

Each participating chef has invited a peer to join them in their restaurant's kitchen for one evening; the first dinner will take place April 29 at Mélisse and the last meal of the series will take place September 16.

Citrin will be joined by guest chef Ludo Lefebvre, Cimarusti will cook with chef Jeremy Fox, Angelini will cook with Michael Tusk, Voltaggio will pair with Chris Cosentino, and Herrmann will announce his guest chef closer to the date of his meal.

Diners can contact the participating restaurants to secure reservations, and each meal will cost $150 for six courses (plus a supplemental charge for wine pairings); a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Special Olympics.
