The Knocks are one of our personal favorite pop bands yet to fully break into the mainstream, and at some point soon, these two NYC dudes are going to be massive. It’s only a matter of time. Their music blends dance, pop, and indie rock in a way that’ll make you feel excellent. If you subscribe to our monthly Spotify BEEEEEATS Playlist, you should already by familiar. If not, get with the program.
The Knocks, aka Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “JPatt” Patterson, operate their own studio on the Lower East Side, so these guys know the area as well as anywhere. The proof is in the Friday Fives pudding. Cheeky’s Sandwiches are where it’s at.
With a new EP on Big Beat/Neon Gold, you’ve got plenty of new Knocks music to dive into. In the meantime, just get “Classic” into heavy rotation and give them a follow on Instagram to see what’s shakin’.
