Foursquare Tips

  • Best falafel in new York. Haven't had a better one in US
  • The midtown outpost of the city's best chicken and rice cart, with excellent falafel and shawarma to boot. Parks in Astoria on 30th Avenue in the evening.
  • If the line gets long, they'll come down the line and serve you falafel. Yum!
  • The chicken platter is slamming! Falafels are so delish...
  • They really are the kings. Omar plate: the meat is good quality, highly flavored, heaping portions and 2 free falafels for $9. You can't beat it. Goodnight after lunch tho
  • After trying falafel King I never had halal guys which seems to be more trendy. This is waaaay better and falafel is the best.
  • I think for me it was just too much food. But the guys at the truck are nice and hand out their very good falafel when the line gets long
  • Best chicken shawarma in NYC! Go earlier than 12pm to avoid long lines. You get a free falafel for standing in line. $6 goes a long way on this cart. Only weekdays Monday to Friday 11:30am to 2:30pm.
  • Wasn't there yesterday or today. Not sure it exists here any more. Worth the trip to astoria though.
  • Chicken and rice is classic, but opt for the Omar Platter for something filling.
  • Anything in a pita is good
  • Chicken Shawarma
  • Best falafel in NYC.
  • They give generous amounts of raw onions in their platters. If you're not a fan, let them know when you order.
  • Free hot falafel while you wait
  • Spicy falafel sauce is.
  • Falafel was amazing and the shawarma was delicious!!! Perfect street food for walking through Manhattan!
  • Excellent falafel and chicken too! Worth the long wait!
  • They feed you a falafel while you wait! Very fresh and good.
  • This is by far the best falafel in the city. They'll even give you one as you wait in line! Absolutely delish (and now with rice)!
