Justin Timberlake's Tequila To Be Sold In U.K.

Move over, Royal Baby. JT's coming to town.

In more celebrity-branded spirits, Justin Timberlake is hopping on the tequila bandwagon. (Trying to compete with hunky George Clooney, huh?) 901 Tequila, co-founded by Justin Timberlake, is set to launch in the U.K. after an agreement was reached with distributor, Hi-Spirits, a British supplier. The distributor announced on July 23 that the tequila will sell for £32.85 ($50.43) per 23-ounce bottle. According to just-drinks, the tequila will be listed at Gerry's Wines & Spirits and the JD Wetherspoon pub chain in London; in fact, Timberlake was recently in a Wetherspoon storefront teaching the staff how to mix cocktails with the Tequila.

901, according to a release, is the world's first ultra premium, hand-crafted, 80-proof tequila that is made by triple distilling 100-percent blue agave. Launched in the U.S. in 2009, it is made at the Tequilera Newton distillery in Jalisco, Mexico and is an adaptation of a 60-year-old recipe.
