Funds Raised During Iconic MDA Shamrock Program to Help Families Fighting the Disease
Irvine, CA (RestaurantNews.com) Juice It Up!, a leading raw juice bar and hand-crafted smoothie franchise, teamed up with customers to support the 33rd annual Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Shamrock program, raising $15,000 to benefit the MDA. Since becoming involved, Juice It Up! has raised over $26,000 for the organization.
For the past two years, Juice It Up! has supported the MDA’s efforts in raising funds to provide life-enhancing programs including support groups, clinics and the yearly MDA summer camp, that help thousands of people in the local communities who are battling muscle disease. This year, more than 70 Juice It Up! locations participated in a month-long MDA Shamrock program, promoting shamrock donations to guests, with 100 percent of the contributions going directly to the organization. These Shamrocks were signed and displayed in stores to bring much-needed awareness to the cause.
