This banana bread method doesn’t require a stand mixer.

A good banana bread recipe is indispensable to the home cook and banana bread is easy to make at home. Though there are a few different variations on the classic banana bread method, we like this one. Since the butter is melted, you can mix the batter by hand without using a stand mixer.

•To make this easy banana bread, start by combining mashed bananas and melted butter.  Then, add the sugar, egg, vanilla, and bourbon (or rum).

•Then, in a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.

•Once you have the two mixtures prepared, combine them, taking care not to over-mix the banana bread batter, adding chopped nuts toward the end of the mixing process.

•The banana bread is baked in a loaf pan in a 350-degree oven for approximately 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
