Foursquare Tips

  • This is the worst bar in New York. The bouncers are racist, low life pricks with nothing better to do than hang out in Midtown on a Saturday afternoon. You're better off giving your money to Wendy's.
  • WOW Free 1/2 liter of Hofbru Original!
  • Two important things: 1. Shot-skis of Jger for $20 and 2. The WiFi password is bierhausnyc
  • Get a pretzel. You will thank me later.
  • If you're checking the tips to see if you should go here, you'd have more fun absorbing the debt of flying to Munich to the actual Hofbruhaus. This place is a sweaty, fart-ridden jock hellhole.
  • Drink beer
  • I love this indoor beer garden! My fave beer is the dunkelweiss (dark wheat) and get the sausage that's a mix of pork & beef. If you have 3+ friends with you, make sure to order a shotski!! Trust.
  • Could have been an awesome bar, but infected with Midtown douchebaggery
  • Look out for a variety of beers (lager, hefe weizen, dunkel, dunkel weizen, bock, Knut bock) running on 24 taps, live music, and enough wurst derivatives to tide you over until Oktoberfest.
  • I would give ten bier steins to get with Mavis.
  • Pretzel and mustard. Do it.
  • Great place to celebrate Oktoberfest....24 beers on tap!!
  • The only authentic thing here is the beer. Below average food -- sausage was lukewarm, salads drowning in vinegar, schnitzel frozen. And i am qualified to pass this verdict having lived in Munich
  • Love this place. Isn't packed at all and food is great. Price is awesome and they have brunch Mimosas and all omg this is tots my Sunday spot
  • THE POLKA BROTHERS ARE MY SPIRIT ANIMALS!!! (Spicy Mustard, Bitte)
  • Get the pretzel to share! (Can feed a group of 4) so good with beer. Two kinds of goood mustard come with it.
  • The beers come in different sizes, the largest being a 2-liter boot, and waitresses wear traditional Bavarian dirndls and ruffled blouses.
  • These guys LOVE their cowbells...
  • Boots of beer are the way to go.
  • Beer great, food: some good, some ok. Mustard is a bit disappointing.(Dijon, not authentic) Atmosphere: feels like home away from home. Will come back.
