Here Are The 3 Most Important Reasons To Go To Brooklyn's Motorino Pizza

It feels like just yesterday that Motorino was forced by the Department of Buildings to close their Graham Avenue shop. At the time, chef and owner Mathieu Palombino promised he'd reopen at a new location. So Brooklynites waited. And we waited. After two years of twiddling our thumbs, and being forced to get our Motorino fix in — ugh — Manhattan, Motorino is set to open. They started with friends and family last night, but tonight, June 26, will be the full opening to the public.

You'll find a similar menu in Brooklyn as in Manhattan, with the addition of a portobello mushroom pizza topped with mozzarella, sausage, garlic, thyme, pecorino, Gaeta olives, and olive oil. Another brand-new item is the frittatina, fried macaroni and cheese with prosciutto. Woah. The best deal is the lunch prix-fixe, one pizza and a mixed green salad for $12, offered Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m.

Stop by the new Broadway location, under the Williamsburg Bridge, and try the antipasti, soppressata piccante, and tiramisu, all pictured below.
