Jim Meehan’s tequila-based ode to George Kappeler’s Widow’s Kiss relies on saffron-hued Strega, Italian for witch, in place of Yellow Chartreuse and cinnamon-spiced apple butter instead of Bénédictine. Think of the lemon juice as the broom the husband failed to specify in the widow’s will.
