The Growler Guys Opening South Waterfront Portland Location

Bend, OR based The Growler Guys have a 2nd Portland franchise location opening on the South Waterfront around the end of October. The 1st Portland Growler Guys just opened this last June in the Grand Central building in Southeast PDX.

Tom Wise and his partner Brad Bevens have been working in the beverage business for over 30 years each with juice and soda brands like Pepsi, Ear2) and Citrus Springs. Both are excited to nab a prime spot in the developing south waterfront on the ground level of the Riva On The Park Condo's.

Normally I would be skeptical about the success of another growler fill station and another one called The Growler Guys at that, is going to be hard to search for but they may just fill an upscale westside niche where they are at.

They plan to have a huge 48 taps including craft beer, sangria, cider and craft root beer with an additional kegorator with 5 taps for Kombucha. This location is also planning to offer a "sit down atmosphere" with TV's for sports and outdoor seating and even some simple food options.

Growler Guys South Waterfront PDX is scheduled to open around the 2nd week of November, 2014 at 0650 SW Gaines.
