Grab a Slice at Chicago Pizza Fest 2012

After a three-year hiatus, the Chicago Pizza Fest returns to the Windy City Saturday and Sunday. Pizza lovers can enjoy thin crust, deep dish, and other assorted gourmet pizzas by the slice and by the pie during the third annual festival.

The Chicago Pizza Fest runs from noon to 10pm each day and activities include a pizza speed-eating contest, in which anyone can sign up to be a contestant.

There is also a ‘Best Pizza Competition’ in which Chicago pizzerias submit two pizzas to compete for best Chicago style, best thin style, and best gourmet/unique pizza. In this text-to-vote competition, the winner will be determined by the amount of votes they receive via text message at the end of each day.

In addition to pizza vendors, other weekend features include a live music lineup of performers, such as Berlin and Delta Rae, and arts and crafts vendors.
