Glorp Recipe

You know what's fun? Food named for what it sounds like.

Know what's even better? Easy, nutritious meals that are perfect for lunch or dinner, and keep well.

Glorp was created when I was a broke student and worried about getting scurvy while living on a really tight budget. Now it's a weekly staple at my house, my boyfriend loves it, and I copy out this recipe for all my family and friends when they head off to school.

Included is the original recipe, with healthier modifications in parentheses.



2 boxes white cheddar mac-and-cheese (2 cups uncooked macaroni noodles)

2 cups frozen vegetables (2 cups diced fresh carrots/broccoli/beans/etc,)

2 packs cheese mix - comes in box (2 cups grated cheese of your choice)

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsps mayonnaise

2 cans tuna, packed in water, drained


1. Put frozen veggies in large pot. Fill pot with water. Bring to boil over high heat.

2. Add mac-and-cheese noodles. Lower heat to med-high. Cook until tender. Drain.

3. Stir in mayo, garlic, cheese powder, and tuna (break up with a fork first). Notice the awesome GLORP sound your casserole makes when you stir it.

4. Smile and enjoy.
