Foursquare Tips

  • "His prickly pear fruit mimosa is brilliant. So is the house-cured gravlax, slow-smoked and served with crme frache subtly flavored with bonito shavings."
  • CJ is a genius...make sure to have the Burrata with his fried lentils
  • watch your legs on the tables when you pull your chair in. OUCH!
  • There was nothing on the menu that wasn't fresh and delightful, but if you missed out on the doughnuts, well you missed out.
  • Get the octopus salad
  • The pork chop is moistened with a reduction of juiced clover, the same stuff you may have rolled around in as a kid, and comes with charred nectarines that have collapsed in on themselves.
  • Recommended dishes: Grilled meatballs, beets and berries, pan-roasted cauliflower.
  • Girasol in many ways is a typical Studio City restaurant, as popular for its strawberry ricotta crepes at brunch as it is for its fennel-crusted steelhead.
  • Unreal food. Amazing presentation. Don't skimp on shared plates.
  • Incredible handling of vegetables and seafood. Beautiful and imaginative and just delicious food in an elegant but unfussy setting. Get the whole fried fish if they have it!
  • You cannot go wrong with anything here. I am a committed patron to this place because everything is fresh, local organic, and delicious! Every dish is interesting and beautiful. Chef CJ is genius!
  • This place has taken an odd turn: it started out great, the cuisine and the service are getting worse over time (being here 5 times). Btw Side is something served ALONG with entree, not 15' later.
  • Jonathan Gold's 10 Best Dish: Rabbit-tobacco-smoked salmon
  • Prepare to see some beautiful platings. The food here tastes just as good as it looks (and it looks pretty amazing).
  • Fantastic place for foodies!
  • Pork satay is really great. Light. Perfectly seasoned. Definitely get it!
  • Such a lovely place with great service. The duck was the best American style I've ever had. The only shitty thing is a $6+ valet parking.
