  • Gioco's hearts of palm salad blends flavors and textures, adding chopped radicchio, celery, gorgonzola and lemony dressing.
  • Quality dining this convenient to the Convention Center?! A location like this would have been perfect for Pope Alexander VIs post-papal-address meal!
  • Try the Garganelli All Uovo. It's one of our favorites!
  • Did you know Gioco was constructed in 1890 and still has a wooden walk-in cooler that was used by Chicago gangsters like Al Capone and Frank Nitti?
  • After a revamp, the South Loop eatery that has received praise from Chicago Magazine & Bon Appetit finally reopened this week. Returning patrons will be delighted with a new menu of seasonal dishes.
  • Timothy the bartender is the best. Also, you'll smell like campfire when you're done. But I like the smell of campfire, so thats ok. The chocolate cake will rock your world. .
  • The service is the best request Tim its so worth it
  • good italian and wine...
  • The braised lamb shank is orgasmic. Try a pizza for an app. I suggest the formaggio.
  • Order a pizza, the crust is unbelievable and they use just the right combination and quantity of spices.
  • Try the pear salad
  • Loved everything we ordered: asparagus appetizer, tortellini, & pasta with cream sauce & prosciutto. The tortellini was unfortunately very small though.
  • Great pasta and lamb chops!
  • Best Italian food! Tiramisu and Burratta
  • Gorgeous Night!
  • The homemade tortellini was to die for! Excellent service, nice for the head chef to stop at the table to ask how everything was too!
  • Amazing history and great food. If you go on a slow night, ask your server or the hostess if they would have time to give you a quick tour of the back. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall...
  • I'm not saying the bathrooms are haunted but they are eerie so I recommend taking someone with you.
  • Try the crab cakes, which are so unbelievably light and perfectly seasoned. Gnocchi w/ salmon in a cream and tomato sauce is heaven. Their tiramis is some of the best I've ever had.
