  • Get the hot mess aka BBQ parfait (or if you're from Rochester, a BBQ Garbage Plate): Mac n cheese topped w beans topped w cornbread topped w pulled pork topped w slaw topped w hot pickles. Amazing.
  • Satisfy your carnivorous cravings at this wood-clad 60-seat den with grass-fed meats, artisanal quaffs stirred by a mustachioed barkeep and house-made mason-jar lights hanging preciously overhead.
  • Bangin' BBQ in the Slope. If the food is always as good as it was tonight, they'll outgrow this tiny outpost really fast. Can't miss with the ribs, pork, slaw and mac & cheesy.
  • Yes to Hot Mess
  • No matter which meat choice you go with (they're all great), make sure to get a Mac n Cheese & Cornbread per person on the side.
  • Check out this by-the-pound barbecue spot in Park Slope. A chef from Colicchio and Sons is cooking whole-hog pulled pork along with ribs and brisket--all sourced from Heritage Foods.

  • really really good BBQ. yet another gem in the Slope where you would have to wait > an hour if this place were in WBurg or Manhattan. make sure the pulled pork is involved in your order
  • Had the ribs and pulled pork...outstanding. Try all of the sides as well, really tasty. Definitely coming back here!
  • Don't be confused by the sink in the bathroom. Work the knobs with your feet.
  • Currently closed, re-opening soon as a taqueria joint or some similar nonsense :-/
  • The "hot mess" is a meal in itself at a good price, get one and a few sides to feed 2 ppl. Skip the spicy pickles, not very spicy, doesn't include pickles.
  • Ask the bartender for the Fresh off the Farm cocktail during brunch. I'll leave you with three words... Homemade Bacon Whiskey.

  • This place is friggin sweet.
  • Quality BBQ spot with communal tables and delicious eats.
  • Hands-down my favorite of the several Park Slope / Gowanus / Prospect Heights BBQ places to open the past few years. Brisket and ribs are awesome, but the real star is their homemade (spicy!) sauces.
