Food Network Sends Out Casting Call For 'Supermarket-Themed Showdown'

Food Network has put out a casting call for "highly skilled chefs and professional cooks from all backgrounds" for their next reality competition show, which will apparently pit them against each other in a "supermarket-themed showdown."

If you're a chef and you want to be on TV, they're looking for you, especially if you're inventive in the kitchen and can "make something out of nothing." Here's the premise, according to the release: "To navigate the aisles of this high-pressure competition, you're going to need clever cooking solutions AND supermarket savvy. From shopping on a budget to substituting out-of-stock ingredients, contestants will have to race against the clock to survive."

If you think you have what it takes to make the cut, you can email grocerygames@rrstaff.com with your city and state in the subject line. In the body of the email, put your name, photo, phone number, occupation/ title, and why you think you should win, and they'll let you know if you've been selected.

If you get selected and end up winning the competition, you have a chance to win up to $20,000. So go for it!
