Exclusive Pop-Up Escape For Olympic Enthusiasts

The Retreat offers a luxury pop-up haven for Olympics-goers to escape London's chaotic crowds and revel in some rest and sport-inspired relaxation from July 27 to Aug. 12. Hosted by The Brewery, a London-based event company, The Retreat is a hospitality event providing six exclusive spaces for members to savor the London 2012 Olympic Games in style.

The Retreat opens daily at 6:30 a.m. and offers guests a space to store their luggage while they sightsee during the day. Each space within the venue offers entertainment, refreshments, and big-screen televisions broadcasting all Olympic events.

For gourmet dining, The Great British Diner serves up a menu of English and Asian-inspired eats prepared by Tom Gore, The Brewery's executive chef. Modeled after an American diner but with a British twist, the restaurant serves up classic British dishes like the English breakfast in the morning and offers a traditional tea service in the afternoon.

Other spaces include an outdoor area where guests can lounge in the summer sun, a custom-built theater where guests can view screenings of the Olympic Games and British films, a club space open until 2 a.m., a traditional English country club room, and The Backstage Theatre, where guests can treat themselves to massages, manicures, and other spa services.

Entry into The Retreat is by membership only, with a 17-day membership costing $4,650, a one-day membership costing $456, and a one-evening membership costing $236.
