2013's It Colors Slideshow

Lemon Zest

Forget the zest, lemons and their bright shade are huge on the event scene right now, brightening up punch bowls and centerpieces alike. They are also used as place card holders, not to mention the color in general is tremendous in the floral department.

Monaco Blue

As an accent color, blue is having a moment in the world of weddings, especially with wedding dresses. Everyone from Oscar de la Renta to Monique Lhuillier featured the dark hue on their bridal runways. Its also a popular paperie shade, showing up on invitations, place settings, and save the dates, as well as on china patterns and serving ware.

Nectarine

This friendly and inviting color pops up on plates rather than on tables. Cocktail hours are filled with mini bites, from crabcakes with the orangey remoulade to gazpacho, crostini with caviar, and salmon. The peachy shade is also showing up in bridesmaids dresses and is also becoming a popular invitation color.

Poppy Red

This punchy red has already been making many appearances at weddings and events, providing strong accents in bouquets and boutonnieres and wowing in centerpieces and cocktail napkins. Look for lush tablescapes that will create a more gothic and baroque appeal.

Tender Shoots

One word: greens. The lush and subtle shade is filling bouquets and centerpieces more than ever. Babys breath and other fillers that were once frowned upon have gotten a fashionable makeover and now are taking up a good portion of floral arrangements and tablescapes. Also, look for the shade on bridesmaids dresses as well as in cocktail hour bites.
