Pop star Justin Bieber's Great Gatsby-inspired party in November was a lavish affair. About 100 guests attended the high-profile party, which reportedly featured hired strippers. The party must have been a really good time, since the singer reportedly said, "It was wild." According to TMZ, there were three open bars at the party and beer pong was a popular game. But Bieber didn't want anyone to dish about the good times — he reportedly made all his guests and those working the party sign confidentially agreements. If anyone broke the deal, they'd have to pay Bieber $3 million.

Sweet 16 Splurge

Kylie Jenner's sweet 16 was anything but small. The Kardashian half-sister celebrated her August 2013 birthday with a flashy party for 150 guests at Los Angeles' AT&T Center. The Alice in Wonderland-themed party wowed guests including Drake, Jaden Smith, and Hailee Steinfeld, as well as most of the Kardashian family, except Kim who was home with baby North West. 

Party photos show an impressive black and white checked "wonderland" cake featuring edible red roses. Favors for the guests made a pricey impression, too: each bag is said to have been valued at $1,000, since it included goodies like iPod speakers, gift cards, and 808 headphones, as well as makeup and other luxuries. Do the math and that's $150,000 on swag bags alone.

Damon’s 'I Do’s'

When actor Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barrosso renewed their wedding vows in April, they did it in style, getting re-hitched in St. Lucia. They celebrated with 50 guests by renting out the entire Sugar Beach Resort, paying what US Weekly calls, "a hefty six-figure price." Guests included Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner, John Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt and the wedding's officiant TV host Jimmy Kimmel with his now-wife Molly McNearney.

Flashy First Birthday

This is one lucky baby! For her first birthday, Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of rapper Jay Z and singer Beyoncé, was pampered with a $200,000 shindig. The cake alone cost a reported $2,400 and the gifts were lavish, too, including a "custom-made $80,000 diamond-encrusted Barbie doll." A reported $30,000 was spent on "costumes, jewelry, and toys" for the baby's friends and their parents, according to The Huffington Post. 

A $10 Million Wedding?

Sticking to a wedding budget wasn't a concern when former NBA star Michael Jordan married Yvette Prieto in April. The final tally? About $10 million, according to US Weekly.The couple got hitched in Palm Beach, Fla., in front of 300 guests, including Tiger Woods, Spike Lee, and Patrick Ewing. Prieto reportedly wore a French silk J'Aton Couture gown, featuring Swarovski crystals. The lavish party also reportedly included a 40,000-square-foot tent at Bear's Club in Jupiter, Fla., "thousands of candles," and performances by Usher, Robin Thicke, and K'Jon.

Living for the Applause

Lady Gaga's album release party, dubbed "artRave," was held in November 2013 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The location was top-secret until the day of the party, which celebrated the release of the "Poker Face" singer's third album, "ARTPOP." While we don't know the exact price tag for this party, we know there were dancers performing near the open bar, costumes, statues, artwork, and big screens for viewing the action. The 1,800 guests reportedly enjoyed free food and drink like donuts, hot dogs, tacos, and other goodies from the three food trucks outside the party. Wish you were there? While you were eating nachos and wings, drinking beer, and watching Super Bowl commercials, celebrities were partying in New Orleans, site of the 2013 Super Bowl.The parties started days before kickoff and continued well after the game ended. Celebrities like singer Paul McCartney, actor/singer Jaime Fox, and actress Sofia Vergara celebrated at the Rolling Stone party at the Bud Light Hotel. Meanwhile, magazines Maxim and GQ hosted separate pre-football parties the night before the game. After the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers, halftime performer Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z celebrated with friends like singer Mary J. Blige at a reported $2 million bash at Mardi Gras World.

Lavish High Fashion

The annual Met Gala is a who's who of celebrities wearing pricey clothes, and the party never disappoints. Entry to the gala cost $15,000 in 2013 and will reportedly nearly double for 2014. The fashion is costly, too. Singer Taylor Swift wore a nearly $9,000 gown by J. Mendel, actress Olivia Wilde dazzled in a $10,000 Calvin Klein dress, and actress Kate Bosworth's Atelier Gentili dress was worth $26,000!

The gala's menu, catered by Glorious Foods, included an appetizer of cauliflower with caviar and mango, a loin of lamb entrée served with artichoke stuffed with Maryland crab, and baby spring vegetables as well as a potato and cucumber salad.

According to BizBash, the drink menu featured "a Paul Goerg Premier Cru Brut Rosé, Louis Latour Montagny Premier Cru La Grande Roche 2010, and a Château Tauzinat L'Hermitage Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2009."

The lux event was a hit for all but one of the hundreds of guests. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow called the gala "so un-fun" and refuses to attend again.

Power Couple’s Pricey Celebration

Star Wars creator George Lucas' June wedding to businesswoman Mellody Hobson was an affair to remember. First the couple tied the knot at his Skywalker Ranch in California and a week later, they celebrated in Chicago with more than 500 guests, including actor Robin Williams, TV weatherman Al Roker, and journalist Gayle King. Famed Hollywood producer Steven Spielberg is said to have given a toast at the reception! The wedding menu reportedly included cocktails and "multiple buffet lines." The party's entertainment? Miley Cyrus celebrated her 21st birthday in November with a party at Beacher's Madhouse in Los Angeles and some pricey gifts! Her father, singer/actor Billy Ray Cyrus, gave the "Wrecking Ball" singer a $24,000 custom Can-Am Spyder motorcycle, complete with her initials on the bike's body. The guest list for the star-studded party included TV personality Kelly Osbourne, rapper Wiz Khalifa, and One Direction members Liam Payne and Niall Horan. Party-goers reportedly ate cupcakes and drank "Miley-themed cocktails made with Casamigos tequila." Meanwhile, the birthday girl held "a $150,000 Swarovski-encrusted, gold-dipped bottle of Beau Joie champagne." Cheers to turning 21!

Slam Dunk Nuptials

NBA star LeBron James and his longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson married in luxury at the Grand Del Mar hotel (near San Diego, Calif.) in September.The celebration, which reportedly hosted 200 guests, lasted a few days, including a welcome barbecue on Friday, the wedding on Saturday, and a farewell brunch on Sunday. The star-studded guest list included rapper Jay Z and his wife, singer Beyoncé, as well as NBA players Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony.No word on how much the wedding cost, but the bride's engagement ring alone is estimated to be worth $250,000.

Oscar Parties

The Vanity Fair party, held every year after the Oscars, is a celebration for Hollywood's elite. The 2013 party at the Sunset Tower Hotel didn't disappoint. Attendees included Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, Zooey Deschanel, Channing Tatum, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Guests indulged by eating In-N-Out burgers from a food truck outside the party, as well as treats like red velvet cupcakes that were served inside the event.

Real Housewives' of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes' remarriage to Greg Leakes reportedly cost $1.8 million. The celebration wasn't small — 400 guests, including fellow reality star Kim Zolciak and singer Fantasia Barrino, attended the couple's second-time-around nuptials held at the Atlanta InterContinental hotel on June 22. The bride's Baracci gown for the ceremony reportedly cost $50,000. She changed into a $20,000 Pnina Tornai dress for the reception. Leakes also wore a 10-carat diamond wedding band to go with her 15.2- carat engagement ring. The reception menu featured mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, fried chicken, and a custom-made 10-tiered cake!
