Spear Steak & Seafood House Opens In Downtown Los Angeles

Spear Steak and Seafood House recently opened in downtown Los Angeles, taking the place of the former Le Ka restaurant on the ground floor of the 18-story Pacific Financial Center.

The atmosphere has remained the same, with beautiful upper and lower outdoor patio spaces featuring fire pits, two V.I.P. rooms, wooden floors, an open kitchen, and a smattering of large communal dining tables in addition to more traditional seating.

The new menu features a wide variety of Asian-influenced dishes. The staggering seafood choices include oysters, ceviche, mussels, scallops, tuna tartare, seafood platters, snow crab beignets, lobster, branzino, trout, and seabass. Carnivorous entrées offered are burgers, Jidori chicken, lamb, short rib osso bucco, and a variety of steaks. Side dishes include creamy polenta, grilled broccolini, braised raipini, roasted heirloom carrots, pork belly fried farro, and duck confit mac and cheese.

Spear also offers a special happy hour menu between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., comprising bruschetta pizza, pork belly sliders, spicy salmon tartare tacos, oysters Rockefeller, and fried sea clams, each for $8 or less. Wine, beer, and specialty cocktails, including sangria, daiquiri, and spritzers, are $5.
