The private Metropolitan Club is located on the 66th and 67th floors of Chicago's Willis (formerly Sears) Tower, offering just about all the city's classic dishes as well as a suite of professional services. With a $170 monthly membership, you can get everything from a lunch buffet to a chef's tasting as you enjoy the view of the Second City (and don't forget to check out the glass-bottomed observation deck after your meal).

You have two dining options on the 77th floor of the world's 30th tallest building. Chao-Jiang Cuisine features a shark fin rice dish, and its counterpart, Palace Club, bills its signature dish as Sukiyaki, a dish featuring Australian rib-eye and Japanese udon.

The Mid-America Club, located on Chicago's Aon Center's 80th floor, is currently the highest restaurant in all of the United States (at least for now, as One World Trade Center in New York City is slated to have a restaurant on its 101st floor at 1,250 feet). Two restaurants, The Main Dining Room and The Grill Room, sit at 1,075 feet above the Windy City. The restaurants' menus change periodically, but the view pretty much stays the same.

All the way up on the 86th floor of Shanghai's Jin Mao Tower is a Shanghainese restaurant called Club Jin Mao. Opened in 1999, it also features private rooms should you want to enjoy the authentic Chinese cuisine and views of the skyline in seclusion.

Opened in 2012, Sky Restaurant 634 calls its menu a "fusion of Edo and French cuisine." Expect amuse bouches like sea urchin ice cream and mains such as roasted duck breast. At 1,131 feet, it offers up amazing views of Japan's capital city.

Ding Xian 101 may reside in the world's third-tallest building, but it lands at number six on our list because it's "only" on the 86th floor. It opened in 2004 and is billed as serving "exquisite Taiwanese seafood," as well as boasting magnificent views of Taiwan from the 86th floor.

4) Tosca, International Commerce Centre (The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong), Hong Kong, China: 1,378 feet
Billed as a "unique approach to Italian cuisine," the other draw to Tosca is its staggering height of 102 stories. The restaurant opened with the hotel in 2011, and diners can enjoy roasted rack of lamb or roasted gnocchi while taking in the view of Hong Kong below.

Opened in 2010, Twist restaurant in Guangzhou's Canton Tower will leave you dizzy with its 1,387 feet-high location. Its menu is described as "a wide variety of fresh salads, pastas, pizza, and Mediterranean dishes."

A trip to the 99th floor (1,397 feet high) of a building in China might seem like a long way to go for some Italian food, but at Elba in The St. Regis Shenzhen you can enjoy a variety of dishes from pasta to pizza while taking in a mesmerizing view of the city below. The restaurant was opened in 2011, and its décor is described as modern Venetian.

Here it is, the apex of eating on the 122nd floor. It seems only natural the tallest building in the world is also home to the highest restaurant in the world, which opened in 2011. Menu items at At.Mosphere range from caviar to Wagyu brisket cooked for 48 hours. Be prepared to spend some money, though; the prices are as high as the restaurant's elevation.
