One Of The World's Most Wanted Criminals Was Just Discovered Working At A Subway Restaurant In The UK

Piotr Kupiec, a 28-year-old Polish national who is on the International Criminal Police Organization's (also known as Interpol) list of its most wanted criminals, was just recently discovered working at a Subway restaurant in the U.K., just a few feet from the Wiltshire Police headquarters.

Kupiec, according to the Mirror, is wanted by Interpol for charges that include "injury causing death/manslaughter/murder," as well as "assault/maltreatment" and theft.

In Krakow, Kupiec belonged to a gang that conducted planned murders, including the death of a soccer fan, as well as acts of theft and violence. Authorities investigating Kupiec's involvement in these crimes eventually tracked him down working at Subway in the town of Devizes, Wiltshire, more than 1,000 miles from home. One person who knew him described Kupiec as "friendly."

Kupiec, who had been on the run since 2008, was employed by Subway for nearly a year before he was discovered. He is now in custody "and is being dealt with by Interpol," according to a police statement.
