New Burger & Lobster Opens On Old Bailey Street In London

The mega-hit Burger & Lobster chain is swiftly taking over the globe with their brilliant concept from New York to Kuwait, and the chain has opened its latest location on London's Old Bailey Street. Located near St. Paul's Cathedral, it joins eight other spots in the capital, including the Knightsbridge-based restaurant in West London and the forever-packed Soho locale on Dean Street.

The new spot offers the same simple menu that draws eager, bargain-hunting queues: a gourmet burger from corn-fed Nebraska beef, grilled or steamed Nova Scotia-flown lobster, or a lobster roll with salad and fries for £20 ($29).  While some things haven't changed, do look into their seasonal cocktail menu, with current wintry libations including Apples and Pears (Somerset cider brandy, pear, lemon, fizz) and Boiler Maker (Chivas 12 year Scotch, raisin, ginger, honey, Samuel Adams).

If you're turned off by Burger and Lobster's no-booking policy at the more popular locations, you're in rare luck: this Old Bailey Street addition is one of the very few that takes reservations...and you should probably book now before the word (inevitably) gets out.
