Los Angeles Gears Up For The James Beard Foundation's Taste America Dinner Sept. 23

The James Beard Foundation continues its fourth annual Taste America tour on Sept. 23 in Los Angeles. The foundation is traveling to 10 cities across the country to host one-of-a-kind fundraising dinners highlighting local cuisine and headlined by a visiting all-star chef and local star chef, as well as cooking demos, artisanal tastings, and book signings.

The exclusive dinner benefiting the James Beard Foundation will take place at Vibiana with a VIP reception beginning at 6 p.m. and the cocktail and tasting reception to occur shortly thereafter. Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a menu crafted by all-star chef and James Beard Award winner Scott Conant of Impero Caffè in New York City; chef Curtis Stone of Gwen; pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith of Sweet Hedy; and the host chef, Neal Fraser of Redbird.

The night will be emceed by Barbara Fairchild, James Beard Award Winner and former editor-in-chief of Bon Appétit; and Aida Mollenkamp, founder of Salt & Wind. David Bernahl, CEO of Coastal Luxury Management in Los Angeles, will also be hosting.

The reception will feature tastings from Nyesha Arrington of Leona; Josef Centeno of Orsa & Winston; Jeremy Fox of Rustic Canyon; and Bruce Kalman of Union.
