Learn how to take advantage of their new “build your own burger” system
McDonald's

So many options...

Last year, McDonald’s launched a program called “Create Your Taste” in Southern California, in which customers can customize their very own burgers from tablet-like kiosks. In an attempt to boost flagging sales and appeal to millennials, this customization push is in the process of expanding to 2,000 U.S. locations, so it very well might be coming to an outlet near you. If you’re still unaware of the offerings, here they are:

Meat:
¼-pound beef patty
Add bacon or make it a double for an extra fee

Cheese:
Sharp white Cheddar

American
Pepper Jack

Bread:
Bakery-style bun
Artisan roll

Toppings:
Guacamole
Sliced jalapeños
Grilled mushrooms
Red onions
Caramelized onions
Chili lime tortilla strips
Tomato
Lettuce
Pickles

Sauces:
Big Mac special sauce
Spicy mayo
Garlic sauce
Sweet BBQ
Mayonnaise
Ketchup
Mustard

With so many options, it can be a little daunting to pick and choose. So we created five burger combos that we think you really can’t go wrong with. Have fun!

#1 Bacon, pepper Jack, guacamole, jalapeños, tortilla strips, onions, spicy mayo on bakery bun
#2 American cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, sweet BBQ on artisan roll
