Margaritas Mexican Restaurant

Make a difference in the lives of children while eating one of the biggest tacos in your life.

Now through Oct. 31, the Northeastern chain Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is celebrating its love of tacos and National Taco Day (Oct. 4) by offering a ginormous special — the Taco Gigante. Not only is it delicious, but $2 from every Taco Gigante sold will be donated to the chain’s national charity, Team IMPACT.

According to a release, “Team IMPACT works to provide a life-changing experience for children with chronic & terminal illness. The children are ‘Drafted’ to join their favorite college sports team – the child joins the team & the student athletes join the child’s support team.”

This taco of your dreams is a foot-long, 2-pound, colossal taco filled to the brim with all your favorite fillings. Think: seasoned chicken, taco beef, pork carnitas, bacon, lettuce, refried beans, rice, salsa fresca, cheese, and queso sauce. As if that’s not enough, top it with hacienda and picante sauce, crema, and pickled jalapeños. If you’re in need of a beverage, get one of more than 25 varieties of the namesake margarita.
