Taco Bell launches Rockstar Punch in Tennessee, Lorenzo Cain stole an A.M. Crunchwraps for all of America, and pigs clean their food.

Welcome to The Daily Meal’s Daily Dish, where we highlight what’s hot and trending in the world of all things food and drink.

Today’s first course?

Taco Bell Is Now Serving Energy Drink Slushies

Taco Bell is known for co-branded drinks, including the long-awaited Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze and Dr. Pepper Vanilla Float Freeze. Well they’re testing out Rockstar Punched, a frozen, fruit punch-flavored Rockstar Energy Drink in Tennessee, and there may be plans to roll out the caffeine-infused slushie nationwide soon. Lorenzo Cain's Stolen Base Means You Can Get a Free A.M. Crunchwrap from Taco Bell

Speaking of Taco Bell, thanks to Kansas City Royal Lorenzo Cain, America has been invited to get a free A.M. Crunchwrap from Taco Bell on Thursday, November 5. Cain, who stole second during the sixth inning of Game 1 of the World Series against the New York Mets, activated Taco Bell’s collaboration with Major League Baseball, “Steal a Base, Steal a Breakfast” — valid the rest of the series. In Taco Bell’s words, in Game 1, “Lorenzo Cain stole a base. But really, he stole A.M. Crunchwraps for all of America.” Even if you’re not a Royals fan, you have to admit Cain did you a solid.

Even Wild Pigs Wash Their Food, Scientists Find

The term “eating like a pig” may need reevaluation. After Switzerland’s Basel Zoo observed wild boars washing apples in a stream before eating, researchers conducted follow-up experiments and confirmed the boars carry sand-covered apple halves to a creek where they pushed them to and fro with their snouts before eating. Clean apple halves were never washed. This suggests pigs understand the difference between clean and dirty foods, and the use of water to clean them.

And that’s today's Daily Dish. Thanks for watching. Stop by tomorrow for another helping.
