The Daily Dish: April 15, 2016

I'm Brian Sheehan; this is The Daily Meal's Daily Dish, the place where we highlight everything that's trending in the world of all things food and drink.

Disney World used to be pretty tight-fisted about serving alcohol to guests, but now even the Magic Kingdom has a beer and wine menu. The latest venue for overaged Mouseketeers will be the upcoming bar/lounge rumored to be opening up soon inside the Hollywood Tower of Terror attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, the new bar will not be called the Tip Top Club, nor will it be located on the 13th floor as per the ride's original storyline. However, the venue will have Tower of Terror-themed beverages and will be located right across from the gift store. No word yet on when the bar will open for business.

New York City's Taste of the Nation Night Out for No Kid Hungry charity fundraiser event is back this year for another round of well-known chefs from all five boroughs serving samples of their dishes all to raise money to end childhood hunger. This year, the event is being chaired by Danny Meyer, while the culinary co-chairs are Anita Lo and Bryce Shuman, and the spirits chair is Eamon Rockey. The entire event will help put free breakfast programs in every school around New York City; each dollar donated helps to put 10 meals in front of a hungry child. You can buy tickets for the event, within this story, in our Eat/Dine section.

Finally on this Friday; dog owners can shop in ease at one Italian grocery store, knowing their dogs are perfectly safe while the weekly shopping is being done. At Unes, the shopping carts have been adapted to seat small dogs, with a solid bottom partition that allows dogs to sit or stand in the front of the cart. The seating area from each cart is removed and cleaned after each visit and so far, the worst thing that's happened is that one dog barked when he was put in the cart. The dog-friendly trolleys are already such a hit that the company is considering introducing them to other branches.

That's the Daily Meal's Daily Dish; thanks for watching. Stop by Monday for another helping.
